Sub-domains:

We have said elsewhere that sub-domains are not what you want for your site, and by and large this is true, You have seen addresses that look like this: www.yourname.xyznet.com, or www.xyznet.com/yourname/home.htm.  Wouldn't you rather have www.yourname.com ? The reason the free or very inexpensive hosting services do this is that web pages really don't take up much space, the average page is less than 1Mb.and anyone with a server can stuff a lot of these on a hard drive. Well, we do this too, the difference is that the domain name registrar we use will set your name up in such a way that when someone types in www.yourname.com DNS server sends them to www.agapewebtech.com/yourname/home.htm and behold! the user sees your page and the address on his browser says he is at www.yourname.com! We don't really make much money on the basic package, but we hope you will want more than one page, and with this package you have to get it from us (if you really want to do it yourself, there is the Plus500 plan) so we don't care how many pages you want, we will gladly add more space for them.
